Day 1

Early pick up from your hotel in Istanbul and transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Kutahya or nearby airport depending on flight schedules. Upon arrival meet your guide and transfer to the city center.

Highlights of the day:

In the afternoon guided walking tour of historic Kutahya, Kutahya Castle, traditional Ottoman neighborhoods, local ceramics workshops and historic mosques and bazaars.

In the evening welcome dinner featuring regional dishes and overnight in Kutahya.

Day 2

After breakfast we will drive to Aizanoi Ancient City & Roman Baths for a guided Archaeological Tour.

Highlights of the day:

Temple of Zeus. The monumental Temple of Zeus is considered one of the best-preserved Roman temples in Anatolia. Built during the 2nd century AD, it stands atop a sacred sanctuary and remains the most iconic monument of Aizanoi.

Roman Baths: Recent excavations revealed an extensive Roman bath complex featuring: cold section (frigidarium), warm section (tepidarium) and hot section (caldarium). These remains demonstrate the advanced engineering and sophisticated urban planning of Roman public bathing culture. The complex provides valuable insight into daily life in one of Roman Anatolia's most prosperous cities.

Ancient Streets & Public Buildings: Explore Colonnaded streets, civic structures, residential remains and water management systems.

In the afternoon visit of the ancient Roman Macellum, Penkalas River and its Roman bridges.

In the evening return to Kutahya for overnight stay.

Day 3

After breakfast we will return to Aizanoi for a deeper exploration of its unique monuments.

Highlights of the day:

Stadium-Theater Complex. Visit the remarkable combined theater and stadium, considered one of the most unusual architectural complexes of the Roman world.

Ancient Necropolis Area. Learn about burial customs and the history of the city's inhabitants in the Ancient Necropolis Areas.

Explore the surrounding Phrygian countryside, visit traditional villages near Cavdarhisar and enjoy local hospitality and regional cousine.

In the evening, return to Kutahya for overnight stay.

Day 4

After breakfast we will visit Kutahya Archaeological Museum and Germiyan Street. The museum houses artifacts recovered from Aizanoi, including sculptures, inscriptions, ceramics, and everyday objects that help bring the ancient city to life. Optional shopping for Kutahya ceramics and local handicrafts and souvenirs.

After the tour transfer to the airport for your domestic flight back to Istanbul and transfer to your hotel.
