Itinerary:

Early morning around 9:00 am you will meet your professional licensed guide at your hotel or to a designated selected pick up point. As a local, you will take the tram to the historic districts of Balat and Fener. Begin with an introduction to the fascinating history of the Golden Horn, once one of the world's safest natural harbors and an important center of Byzantine and Ottoman trade. Will explore hidden Balat with your licensed professional guide and walk through Balat's winding streets while discovering colorful Ottoman wooden houses, the historic Jewish quarter, hidden staircases, small artisan workshops, vintage antique shops, local bakeries, traditional neighborhood cafeterias, street art and murals. You will learn how Balat transformed from a multicultural neighborhood into one of Istanbul's most artistic districts. You will walk to Balat's most photogenic streets while also discovering quiet corners rarely visited by larger tour groups.
